Knox Law and Caregiver Support Services support older adults, individuals with disabilities, and the people who care for them. Our work focuses on preserving dignity, protecting assets, and ensuring appropriate care across all stages of life.
Our Story
Knox Law was founded by Caroline Knox to help families navigate the legal and practical challenges that come with aging. As a North Carolina Board-Certified Elder Law Attorney, Caroline works closely with older adults and their families to protect assets, plan for the future, and make thoughtful decisions about care and legacy.
Through her work with clients, Caroline recognized that many families needed more than legal guidance. They also needed help coordinating care, managing finances, and navigating day-to-day responsibilities as needs changed.
This understanding led to the creation of Caregiver Support Services, which works alongside Knox Law to provide professional care management and financial oversight. Caroline later developed SAIL, Senior Assisted Independent Living, to support individuals who wish to remain independent while benefiting from structured guidance and monitoring.
Together, these services allow our team to support families through every stage of planning, care, and transition.

We serve older adults, individuals with disabilities, family caregivers, fiduciaries, and professionals seeking trusted guidance. Clients come to us for long-term planning, crisis support, care coordination, guardianship matters, and estate administration.
HOW WE WORK
Based in Hendersonville, we serve clients throughout western North Carolina and across the state through in-person and virtual consultations. Our team collaborates across legal and care disciplines so families receive clear guidance and consistent support.
